How do I know if I need Oral Rehabilitation?

When the teeth are misshapen, protruded, they are missing some pieces, their gums are very thick, or they have suffered accidents that have affected their natural color. Thats because is necessary to make a detailed assessment of the specific needs of the patient, to reach a diagnosis and to determine the most appopriate treatment.

In many occasions the use of dental implants, parcial or total prothesis, implants with crowns, restoration of dental pieces, and orthodontic treatments among others is necessary to attend to Oral Rehabilitation.

Dental treatments associated with Oral Rehabilitation:

This procedure is performed when your teeth are lost due to periodontal disease, tooth fracture, caries, trauma or lack of tooth formation. In this cases they  must be replaced by attachments in the form of posts or pillars made of biocompatible materials with the structures of the mouth.

Dental implants with crown are post or abutment attachments made of biocompatible materials with the structures of the mouth that are designed to replace the roots of missing teeth. Thus support the artificial tooth (crown) being replaced, typically having  screw-like threaded surfaces.

When we talk about Crowns, we refer to a fixed prosthetic device that goes over the natural tooth and replaces one or more damage teeth it in its visible part. It can be made on a natural tooth or on an implant.

The use of prosthesis is considered when there is tooth loss due to periodontal disease, tooth fracture, caries or trauma. A removable partial denture or a total denture may be needed.
